PALMERA PARK

aking full advantage of its location facing Palmera Park on South Charles Street in Alys Beach, this home delivers a bold architectural response to its setting.

A striking two-story window wall is centered on the twin rows of palm trees in the park, creating a powerful visual connection to the landscape. On the first floor, the window wall fills the dining room with light, while above it forms a vaulted window in the primary bedroom, framed by a soaring beamed ceiling. The interior designer thoughtfully embraced the scale of the space with a grand canopy bed and custom drapery tailored to the unique proportions of the window.

Entry into the home is through a breezeway with a sculptural opening, highlighted by an oversized Bevolo gas lantern and a feature window above that enhances the arrival sequence. The home is organized around a cozy central courtyard, creating a sense of privacy and calm. A sunny breakfast nook with banquette seating and a Moroccan-inspired pendant anchors one corner of the kitchen, which features a restrained color palette, generous island, bar area, butler’s pantry, and a full-height wine column—blending classic elegance with modern livability. Courtyards, balconies, and a roof terrace extend the living spaces outdoors year-round, with the roof terrace offering shaded seating beneath an arbor, an outdoor fireplace, and Gulf views that terminate the vista down South Charles Street.
