The guiding design vision for this home was comfortable elegance. The owners were drawn to a warm color palette, featuring stained wood elements and a richly colored slate roof. To fully embrace the Gulf-front setting, the primary living spaces were thoughtfully placed on the second floor, opening to expansive balconies through large accordion-folding doors. Surrounded by banks of windows, the interiors capture sweeping views while offering inviting window seats, a dedicated bar area, and a grand cast-stone fireplace. Antique wood beams and wide-plank wood floors introduce a subtle rustic character that balances the home’s refined aesthetic.

A love of “Old Chicago” brick inspired a barrel-vaulted dining room ceiling, where antique bricks were carefully cut thin and installed in a herringbone pattern to create a distinctive, bespoke feature. A butler’s pantry seamlessly connects the kitchen and dining area, enhancing flow for entertaining. The home includes three guest suites for the owners’ grown children, a cozy sitting area, and a bunk room for grandchildren. The third floor is completed by a workout room and a small office. The primary suite, also located on the third floor, features a vaulted ceiling, built-in bookcases with library lighting, a see-through fireplace, and commanding Gulf views. The primary bath offers a serene retreat with a soaking tub overlooking the water and an expansive shower.
